Tigersharks bite back!
Tigersharks A and B team were both in out in force on Saturday evening with both teams returning with great victories.
Tigersharks A fought local rivals Swindon Dolphins all night and both teams produced 23 wins each. With Dolphins leading the gala from event 1 through to event 35 the young Sharks never gave up. By event 37 Tigersharks took a narrow lead which they held through to the end of the gala, winning by just 5 points.
The summer league which is run over four galas is won on cumulative points. Tigersharks now have the narrowest lead of just one point over Swindon Dolphins, with only one more round to go. The final will certainly be a hotly contested event.
Individual Tigersharks wins came from, Jaime King (2), Alex Jones, Sophie Hawkins, James Magness, Natalie Montezuma, Sophie Roberts, Jason Butt, Kane Baker, Briony Merritt, Aaron Lee, Hayley Towner & Dean Williamson. Relay wins were achieved by U/12 Girls and U/12 Boys Free and Medley, U/14 Girls Free and Medley, U/16 boys Free and Medley & Open Girls Free and Medley.

Meanwhile the B team were proving just as tough as their team-mates. As the only B team in Division 3 against three 'A' teams Tigersharks found themselves trailing in last place at ten events. However the sharks rallied and by event 20 they had turned the tables and were back on top. From there on Tigersharks did not look back to win by four points from Salisbury .
With 3 wins from Rosie Broad and further wins from Rachel Waine (2), Matthew Jones, Danielle Harris, Lauren Jones (2), Rachel Russell, Michaela Boniface, Thomas Howitt (2) & J Alojado and relay wins Girls U/12 Free and Medley, Boys U/16 Medley & Girls U/14 Medley was enough to take victory on the night.
Tigersharks B still have their work cut out to win the over all four rounds, but an outstanding display on the night!
