Tigersharks Shine in Aquathlon

Three Tigersharks took part in the Swindon Aquathlon on Saturday 25th of June and proved their excellence does not stop with just Swimming. An Aquathlon is a competition where the competitor competes in the pool and then competes over a run. Depending on the competitors age the distances they cover are different.

All three sharks were in great form and won their age groups. Daniel Watt was in the Tri-Star Start age group which is for 8 year olds. Daniel swam 60m left the pool and went straight into a 600m run, Tara Scott-Browne was in the Tri-Star 2 age group which is for 11/12 years.

Tara Swam 200m and then ran a 2000m circuit. Matthew Jones entered the Tri-Star 3 age group for 13/14 year olds, Matthew swam 400m and then ran a 3000m race. At only 13 Matthew was clear winner. Tara and Daniel was also untroubled to take their 1st places. A fantastic achievement for all three swimmers

Matthew will be competing in the Team Bath tribe Triathlon on July 16th 2005 where he will undertake a 300m swim, 6000m Bike ride and a 2400m run.
