Tigersharks top the winners table at the Wiltshire County BagCat Competition

Tigershark BagCat swimmers turned the tables on other clubs at the recent Wiltshire competition as they recorded the highest number of BagCat winners and the highest medal tally across all clubs. The youngsters were outstanding throughout the three days of competition and consistently had swimmers in the top three in most events and age groups.

Tivy Durrant was a run-away winner in the 9year girls as she powered to five Age Group best times and the top spot in her age group. She has also qualified at Regional level in five events a year to early! Callum Davidson also pocketed the top accolade in the 9year old boys with some superb swims throughout the competition. 10 year olds Abbie Crook and Alex Boxall picked up 4th and 6th place respectively. Abbie Crook now has a full bag of Regional BagCat times for the June competition. The 11 year old boys took 3 of the six places up for grabs with Daniel Jones taking 2nd, Jack Patey 4th and Ryan Gooch 6th. Jones also adding to his growing tally of Regional QT’s on the way. Rebecca Maddocks and Momoko Takahashi scored 4th and 5th place respectively in the 11year girls also adding themselves to Tigersharks long list of Regional Qualifiers. The 12year age group in both girls and boy’s saw three swimmers hit the top six, Conor Keye 2nd, Craig Harris 3rd and Oliver Howitt 5th and in the girls, Rebecca Cook 3rd, Abigail Davidson 4th and Rebecca Flack 5th, all six swimmers now with multiple Regional Qualifying times. The 13 year girls saw Aiko Takahashi snatch 2nd place and Elliot Willoughby and Jake Hancock were awarded 2nd and 5th place respectively in the boys 14years.

With some superb swims from all of the Tigersharks BagCat swimmers the tally of BagCat qualifiers now stands at 17 with 36 Regional qualifiers in total. With many swimmers teetering on the edge of their QT’s the June competition looks to be a very busy one.
