Tigersharks go the distance!

Tigersharks swimmers got off to a great start at the 2009 Wiltshire Championships this weekend.

The swimmers produced an 88% PB rate with many of the swimmers smashing times they had only posted in October at the Club Championships.

Dean Williamson took the Championship title for the second year running in a reasonable time. Open Water specialist Kieron German posted a good time to take third place in the Championship.

Tim Newcombe (pictured left) snatched gold in the 16 year age group in a new South West Region Qualifying time and a massive personal best time.  Jake Hancock, Elliot Willoughby, Matthew Magness, Kyle Gaskin and Andrew Hitchcox all produced great personal best swims.

Christopher Chapman and Thomas Howitt both swam massive PB’s and snatched bronze medals in the 13 years and 14 years age group respectively.

In the girls category Emily Weston produced an outstanding time to snatch a bronze medal in the 13 year age group. Rebecca Hussey, Luisana Toner, Sophie Roberts, Charlotte Langley, Ella Luffman, Rebecca Healy, Melissa Glass and Rosie Broad also notched up new personal best times.

The swimmers now look forward to swimming at Bath in the 1500m Frontcrawl next weekend.
