A Tigershark Downunder Many of you will be aware that Grant Turner has travelled all the way to Australia to continue his training and education in circumstances that will hopefully prove more conducive to fulfilling his long term swimming ambitions. Grant has sent us some photographs and his daily itinerary to give us an idea of what life is like for a Tigershark downunder.
The School is made up of 14 houses; Biddle, Delpratt (Grant's house), Mckinley, Thorold, Rogers, Atkinson, Kaiser, Maughan, Melbourne, Radcliffe, Surman, Turnock, Walker, and Morse. It's web site is http://www.tss.qld.edu.au/ and is well worth a look. The facilities are truly remarkable and the headmaster says "It is the only school on the Gold Coast which can offer your son the advantages of a GPS education; academic rigour, extensive facilities, sense of history, routine of insistence; integrated programme of competition and co-operation across school life and beyond."
Grant says "I am in Delpratt House and our house War Cry (for inter-house competions) which I need to learn in the first couple of weeks is: - RIKKI TIKKI, RIKKI TICKI, And you thought I was going for the swimming! Maybe Tigersharks should write a War Cry too!" The Daily Routine
