Tigersharks Cruise to promotion!

Tigersharks B team were in great form last weekend in the final round of the Summer League. Tigersharks went into the final round 22 points ahead of the other three teams and did not leave any room for error throughout the evening. With 1st place swims coming from Chloe Mills (U/16), Alissa Johnson (U/14) Jonathon Lee and Anna Hanley (Open), Ciaran Alstowe (U/12), Rachel Russell (U16 and Open), Danielle Harris (U/14), Natalie Shirley (Open),Sophie Roberts (U/12), Girls U/12 Medley Relay, Girls U/14 Medley and Free Relay, Girls U/16 Medley and Free Relay, Boys U/14 relay, Girles Open Medley Relay and Open Boys Free relay Tigersharks stormed to victory on the night by 22 points giving them an over all lead of 52 points. Tigersharks B will now be promoted to Division 3 next year.

Tigersharks took this opportunity to announce their Club Captains for 2005/2006. Hayley Wood (16) will remain as Club Captain for the girls following a very successful and supportive year in the position last year. Grant Turner who has gone to Austrailia to train in the British Off Shore training camp has relinquished his position and he will be replaced by 18 year old Jonathon Lee. Jonathon has proved to be a huge asset to Tigersharks over the past year. Jon teaches in our Learn to Swim programme, Coaches in our Junior Squad and also finds time to train three times a week and compete at District level. Hayley and Jonathon will make a great team and are both a wonderful example to their Tigershark team mates.
