Tigersharks Quest for National Glory

Tigersharks twelve National Qualifiers will embark on their quest for glory this weekend at Ponds Forge in Sheffield.

The ASA National BagCat Qualifiers of:-

Briony Merritt 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m Frontcrawl & 100m, 200m Backstroke & 400m Individual Medley Bag Cats
Sam Clayton 100m & 200m Butterfly & 400m Individual Medley
Eleanor Hussey 400m Individual Medley
Sophie Roberts  100m Backstroke

These swimmers will commence with their competition on Monday 23rd July 2007. The competition runs over four days and will gather together the best 11 – 13 year Girls and 11 – 14 year boys.

Dean Williamson 200m, 400m & 800m Frontcrawl & 100m & 200m Butterfly
Sophie Hawkins 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m Frontcrawl & 200m Individual Medley
Aaron Lee   100m Backstroke & 100m Butterfly
James Magness 200m Backstroke
Natalie Montezuma 50m Frontcrawl
Laura Young  100m Breaststroke

These swimmers will commence with their competition on Friday 27th July 2007. This competition runs over six days and will see the top 14 years & over Girls and 15 years and & over boys from Great Britain competing for medal places. The two competitions are fierce but only approximately 1% of all competitive swimmers in the UK make it to the Nationals.

Tigersharks are sending the largest number of Wiltshire Age Group swimmers to the competition this year and the swimmers are hoping to produce their best times in what is the epitome of British Age Group swimming.
