RECORDS FALL AS TIGERSHARKS TAKE ON 400M INDIVIDUAL MEDLEY & 800M FC!

Tigersharks were in record breaking form this weekend as the competed in the 400m IM and 800m FC. Top performers were 9 year olds Alex Eburne and Georgia Pearce who both broke the Age Group best times at both events. Georgia and Alex were not phased by either event and took on older swimmers in their heats with determination and fast swimming.

Georgia not only broke the 9 year old Age group best times in both events she also won the 10/U age group. Alex Beat other 9 & 10 year olds to come third in the 10/U age group along with his two 9 year AGBT’s. Both swimmer look to be great prospects for Tigersharks.

Alex Jones (15) was in outstanding form as he smashed the 400m IM and 800m FC AGBT, JCBT & CBT in both events. Jones was untroubled in both events as he cruised to personal best times. His 400m IM time of 4:35 was well inside the required time for his NQT for 2008.

Kane Baker (12) also proved a force to be reckoned with in the 400m IM as he rocketed to a new AGBT and a 1st place in the 11/12 years age group. Eleanor Hussey (12) produced an outstanding time of 5:28 to take an easy first place and new AGBT in her swim.

Briony Merritt was outstanding in the 800m FC as she smashed the AGBT in the 12 years with a superb swim in a time of 10:02. Briony also took first place in the 11/12 years age group and the U/13 Championship.
