Tigershark swimmers were out in force for the second round of the Wiltshire Moonraker Winter League on 8th January. Tigersharks took everyone by surprise with fantastic swims in both their A and B teams.

Swimming at Trowbridge the A team stormed to victory sweeping aside the competition including local rivals Swindon Dolphins and Swindon ASC. The young sharks team lead from start to finish winning 52% of the races. This was an exceptional display of swimming considering they were missing four key members of their team.

The U/15 boys team of Aaron Lee, Alex Jones, James Magness and Dean Williamson remain undefeated in all of their races and this round were matched by the U/17 boys team of Grant Turner, Frankie Peters, Craig Bull who were helped by one of the U/15 boys in the abcense of Shaun Bracey.

The girls U/13 team of Danielle Harris, Lauren Jones, Hayley Towner, Siobhan Tierney and Sophie Hawkins only missed out on four first place wins by a fingertip touch to Chippenham in the Breaststroke. In the canon Freestyle relay Tigersharks were in front from start to finish in a blistering display of frontcrawl swimming.

Meanwhile the B team were performing just as well at Calne. Swimming against three other A teams Tigersharks swimming battled all evening and were thrilled to finish in 2nd place just behind Warminster A. Once again the boys U/17 team of Tony Wood, Paul Chilcott, Luke Tanner, Kris Langley and Matthew Morris were unbeatable, storming to victory in all of their races.

And the boys squadron Breaststrokers Jacob Roberts, Andrew Hitchcox, Matthew Morris and Liam Moody were in great form to take this event. The team never gave up and having suffered a disqualification in the girls backstroke event the coaches and swimmers were delighted with their performance.
