TIGERSHARKS KEEP THE PRESSURE ON

Tigersharks A and B teams embarked on round 3 of the Moonraker Winter League this weekend.

Despite the loss of 6 of their top swimmers Tigersharks A continued to pile the pressure onto their rivals Swindon Dolphin.

The young Sharks never gave up and amassed a staggering 20 first places on the night eclipsing all other teams for the first place spots (Tigersharks 20, Dolphins 18 and Wroughton 1). This however was not quite enough on the night. Having suffered a disqualification in the boys U/17 Breaststroke (a race they had won) Swindon Dolphin were the victors on the night by a mere 8 points. Tigersharks U/15 boys continue their unbeaten streak, despite the loss of one of their four in this round, showing what great depth they have in this age group.

Tigershark A were definitely the winners on the night for endurance and fight, both swimmers and coaches were delighted with their performances.

The B team travelled once again to Calne. Tigersharks B is a very young team but their determination shine's through in every round. Like their A team counterparts had they not suffered three disqualification's on the night they would have gone on to win the gala. All three disqualifications would have resulted in wins, loosing the team a massive 12 points. The Under 13 girls team of Rosemary Broad, Eleanor Hussy, Tara Scott Browne, Alex Lee, Amy Thrush, Alissa Johnson, Faye Million, Dannaka Connolly and Aisha Lewis were in outstanding form and were unbeaten all evening.

However on the night the B team had to give way to Wootton Bassett A team by only 9 points, but had produced some great swimming. Both teams now look forward to the final round in March.
