Tigersharks on Top!

Tigersharks C team continue to dominate division 6 of the Wiltshire Moonraker Summer League. Producing some outstanding personal best times the C team swimmers came home 33 points clear or the other competing teams.
Notably the very young under 12 years Girls won all six of their races with the exception of one second place.  9 year olds Georgia Pearce, Rhian Merritt & Sam Reeves and 10 year old Rebecca Hussey  and 11 year old Gina Popal were all in outstanding form.
The swimmers collected 25 of the 50 possible 1st places and were a tough team to beat.
The Girls under 14 years and boys under 16 years were also lethal combinations in the relay’s with a clean sweep of wins as did the Boys open age group. With two rounds to go if the team can keep up the hard work, promotion looks a real possibility.

Tigersharks Coach Lesley Leffers was also honoured last weekend at the final round of the District Age Group Competition. She was awarded the prestigious BSCTA  West Grass Roots Coach of the Year. This award acknowledges the achievements of the club and its swimmers at District and National Level.
