Tigersharks swimmers were the force of the competition at the first round of the Wiltshire County Competition at Marlborough College. Tigersharks amassed a staggering 9 Gold, 5 Silver and 5 Bronze medals in one afternoon.

The Girls were taking on the 800m Frontcrawl and were in great Shape. Madison Wheeler (10) produced a huge personal best time to take a silver medal in a very strong swim. Briony Merritt and Sophie Roberts swimming in the 11 year age group took Gold and bronze respectively again with both girls smashing their personal best times. Rosie Broad was never threatened on her way to winning gold as she stormed to victory in the 12-year age group and Alex Lee was in fine form as she took Bronze in the 13-year age group. Natalie Montezuma produced a fantastic PB to take Gold in the 15 years and Bronze in the Junior Championship.

Distance specialist Jazz Carlin re-wrote the history books as she powered to victory in the Senior Championship for the fourth year running, a feat that will be hard to follow for quite some time. Carlin touched home 50m ahead of the field as she produced a new short course best time. Her time was also an Age Group Best Time for 16-year-olds and a new Senior Age Group Best Time.

The boys were in the same blistering form with Tigersharks once again in dominant form. Joshua Wheeler (12) had a tremendous battle with Harry Ash of Bradford on Avon to be piped at the post to take the silver medal. Wheeler took 43 seconds off his PB time set just one month ago and both boys went under the old Age group best time by a big margin. Ciaran Alstowe had a great swim to snatch Bronze in the 13-year age group. Sam Clayton was in phenomenal form as he reduced his personal best time by 33 seconds to take Gold in the 14 years and Silver in both the Junior and Senior competition. Kieron German once again stripped his PB, this time by 40 seconds to take silver in the 15 years age group and Bronze in the Junior Championship.

Alexander Jones (15) was unstoppable finishing in an incrediable time of 16:19.14 to totally dominate the race finishing nearly 100m ahead of the field. His time was a new 15 year Age Group Best Time, Junior and Senior Championship Best Time and new Wiltshire County Junior Record.

Tigersharks boys notched a 1,2,3 in the Junior Championship with Jones, Clayton and German and a 1,2 in the Senior Champs from Jones and Clayton. They also broke six Age Group Best Times on the way to victory.

Other Tigersharks swimmers recording personal best times were Rachel Waine (11), Rebecca Healy (11), J Alojado (11), Emily Weston (11), Gina Popal (11), Melissa Glass (11) & Laura Young (14).
