TIGERS ON TOP!

Ten Tigersharks swimmers attended the End of Season Meet run by Taunton Deane ASC at Weston Super Mare last weekend. All 10 swimmers had an outstanding competition producing a batch of outstanding swims against swimmers from all over the south west. In fact the Tigersharks swimmers were so good that with only ten swimmers all 12 years and under they were named as Top visiting club, despite clubs like Clevedon, Weston Super Mare & Tiverton having full teams of all age swimmers at the event.

Craig Harris (12) produced some outstanding swims throughout the weekend in particular his 200m FC where he sliced 8 seconds off his PB to swim in a time of 2:16.06. Abbie Crook (10) returned to form to swim well inside three of next year’s Regional times and produced PB’s on every swim to place 2nd in the Top Girl competition. Momoko Takahashi and Rebecca Maddocks were in outstanding form smashing times only just set six weeks ago and Tivy Durrant continued to shine as an outstanding talent in the 9 year age group and screeching inside 10year old Regional times. Megan Campbell, Georgina Hall, Abi Cook and Olivia Flack all swam outstanding personal best times to gain valuable points towards the Top Club award.

Rebecca Cook (pictured left) was the outstanding competitor of the weekend as she produced 7 PB’s from 8 swims and top three places in all of her events. This also resulted in her being named Top Girl
of the meet.

A really worthwhile End of Season experience at a very well run Open Meet for all the swimmers who attended.
