Tigersharks Tots are Top Notch!

Tigersharks hosted its first invitational Gary French Junior Trophy Gala this weekend with some outstanding performances from swimmers of all ages. Tigersharks decided to recognise all the efforts of the former Wiltshire President in his capacity as a parent, committee member & official by naming a perpetual trophy in his honour which will be competed for on an annual basis.

The gala produced some amazing performances from the clubs 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13 year olds with the young swimmers producing phenomenal times throughout the age groups. Many of the 9 year olds were first time competitors and both the boys and girls were untouchable. The A team boys and girls of Daniel Watt, Jamie Towner, Lewis Ford, Jake Hancock, Heidi Wilson, Rebecca Hussey, Georgina Pink and Emily Leonard breezed to victory with metres to spare in all four of their relays. Their B team counterparts of Elliot Willoughby, Sami Donmez, Ben Jones, Luke Brown, Samantha Reeves, Emma Hiscocks, Amber Ballard, Chelsea Wheeler and Luisana Toner were also strong contenders on the night.

Together the two team's produced 48 individual PB's and 143 relay split PB's. Out of the 55 events in the competition Tigersharks A won 41 with 9 second places. The gala highlighted the strength in their younger age groups with races going to Tigersharks A and B in first and second places on a number of occasions.
