Tigersharks swimmers continue to rack up the QT’s
Tigersharks added four more Regional qualifiers to their list for 2012 at the Tigersharks Level 3 Winter Open Meet.
Joe Kennedy 10 years swam comfortably inside the 200m BK time and in doing so qualified for both the 100m & 200m event in June. His time of 3:04.53 was 3.5 seconds inside the required time.
Georgina Hall (10) notched up the 100m Frontcrawl time for an 11 year old as she cruised to a superb time of 1:10.16. She also closed in on her 200m & 400m times. Both swimmers will hope too add to their QT’s at the Wiltshire Competition in March.
Daniel Jones 12 years started his Regional campaign as he qualified for the 200m Backstroke. He also closed in on many more of his 2012 times. Elliot Willoughby landed two of his times for this year’s competition as he reached the standard in the 200m & 400m IM. He also just missed out on the 100m & 200m Breaststroke.
Abbie Crook and Rebecca Cook continue to produce outstanding swims across the board. Rebecca (12) now has a full set of QT’s for the Regional BagCat competition and Abbie (10) just fell short of her full set when she missed the 200m FC by .5 and the 400m FC by .21 The girls produced stunning 400m IM swims as they both swam nearly 30 seconds inside the required time.
Up and coming Frontcrawl contender Lisa Cowley just missed out on her first ever Regional time in the 13 years 100m event as she swam to a time of 1:05.41, just ½ second outside her time.
Other swimmers showing real potential to hit the mark this year are Jasmin Poole & India Sharland who will both be 11 years, Bethany Wakefield (13), Miles Farrington (10) & Jack Patey (13).
